How it works

Highway Trivia is built for car rides. One person reads each question aloud, and anyone in the car, driver included, can call out the answer.

  2. 2

    Pick a round

Read the question and choices aloud, tap the answer the car agrees on, and see how you did at the end.

What's inside

720 questions

Six categories, from History to American Roadtrip, with easy, medium and hard questions mixed in.

No repeats

The app remembers which questions you've seen in each category, so every trip feels fresh. It always asks before resetting anything.

Learn as you go

Miss one and the app shows the right answer, so everyone in the car learns something. Tap anywhere to move on when you're ready.

See answers

After each round, review every question with its difficulty, the right answer and your pick. Filter to just the ones you missed.

Works offline

Everything is built into the app, so it works on long stretches with no signal.

Light and Dark Mode

A clean, bright look that follows your phone's setting, with categories styled like green highway signs.

Along for the ride

A little yellow car drives you into each round and pulls up to your results. If Reduce Motion is on, it switches to simple fades.

iPhone and iPad

A full-screen layout on iPad, in portrait or landscape, with big text that's easy to read from the back seat.

Common questions

Does the app work without internet?

Yes. Once it's installed, everything runs fully offline.

Why do I keep seeing the same questions?

The app tracks which questions you've already seen in each category so it can avoid repeats. If a category runs low on fresh questions for the round you've picked, it asks you to confirm before resetting that category's history. Nothing resets automatically without asking first.

You can also reset everything at once with the "Reset seen questions" button on the setup screen, which also asks for confirmation.

Do I need an account?

No. Download it, pick your categories, and play. There are no accounts, no ads, and no sign-ups.

Is there an Android version?

No Android version is planned. Google now requires every developer to verify their identity with Google before their apps can be distributed to Android devices, even free apps that collect nothing. That requirement goes against how we work, so Highway Trivia will stay on iPhone and iPad unless those rules change.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Highway Trivia does not collect, store, share, or sell any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics trackers, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services embedded in this app. Nothing you do inside the app is sent anywhere.

The only thing the app remembers is which trivia questions you've already seen, so you don't get repeats. That information is stored locally on your own device and never leaves it — we don't have access to it, and neither does anyone else.

We built it this way on purpose. This app doesn't exist to gather data on the people who use it — it exists to give people something fun to do in the car.

Children's Privacy

Since no data is collected from anyone, this includes children. The app is safe for all ages to use.
